Our team of dentists at Woodshore Family Dentistry is pleased to answer your questions and wants you to feel confident in your decision to make us your home for optimal oral health. As you will see below, we’ve compiled various questions from our patients and provided insightful answers for you to review. If after reading through this information you still have concerns or questions about our dental practice, contact us here at our Clute dental office.
How often should I see a dentist?
We recommend that you visit the dentist every six months. Because cavities and gum disease can develop quickly, keeping your regularly scheduled appointments allow dental professionals to pinpoint problem areas and provide valuable treatment before these conditions worsen. Our team is equipped to use modern dental technology to check for signs of decay, infection, and damage and will deliver timely care in a way that ensures optimal results.
Will you see my child?
Yes! We enjoy treating children of all ages. Dr. Pattni sees many of our pediatric patients and is trained to provide oral sedation. No matter the stage of life your child is in or the state of their smile, we can deliver kid-friendly services that will not only improve their teeth, gums, and bite but also explain and encourage good oral hygiene while at home. Although it may make you nervous to have your little one cared for by someone other than yourself, you can entrust us with your child’s safety, comfort, and smile.
Do I need a referral for dental implant placement?
One of the greatest aspects of choosing Woodshore Family Dentistry is that we offer complete dental implant placement and restoration in-house. We know our patients don’t like having to see an outside specialist for treatment, which is why we want to make it easy, seamless, and convenient. Dr. Pham is highly skilled when it comes to many of the most common surgical procedures and will ensure successful placement and restoration should you require dental implants to replace your missing teeth.
Do I need a dental bone graft?
Determining whether you need a bone graft or not is ultimately up to our team of dentists. When meeting with them for an initial consultation, we will survey the density of your jawbone using advanced dental technologies. If we believe your jawbone cannot adequately support customized prosthetics or restorations, we will recommend a bone graft.
Do you offer sedation dentistry?
Yes! We know the dentist’s office can be scary for some individuals, which is why we provide nitrous oxide, oral conscious, and IV sedation. Depending on your medical history and the type of procedure you need, we will recommend one of these three options. You can expect us to sit down and discuss any medications you might be taking as well as why you believe sedation dentistry is necessary to ensure a more positive dental experience.
What should I do in case of a dental emergency?
If you or a loved one sustains a dental injury, we encourage you to call our dental office right away. We offer same-day and after-hours emergency dental appointments and will do our best to make sure you have the tools you need to manage the pain while waiting to see a member of our team. Once you arrive, we’ll work quickly to eliminate the pain before taking photos and determining the underlying cause of your problem. We know not all dental emergencies are avoidable, but it is our goal to equip all our patients with valuable insight to help minimize damage and keep smiles looking and feeling healthy all the time.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
At Woodshore Family Dentistry, we are committed to accepting and welcoming PPO dental insurance plans and will file any necessary paperwork and claims on your behalf. Many of our patients rely on their insurance benefits to cover most of their dental work. By pre-negotiating these fees and services with various companies, we can help keep expenses as low as possible for our patients.
